Mechanical Supervisor
Are you a highly experienced and proactive Mechanical Supervisor seeking a significant long-term opportunity? We're looking for a dedicated professional to lead the mechanical aspects of a major industrial project in Norwich for an estimated duration of 12-18 months!
The Opportunity:
Take ownership of the mechanical installations on a large-scale industrial development. This is a fantastic chance to utilize your leadership skills and technical expertise on a substantial and engaging project.
What you'll be doing:
- Overseeing and managing all mechanical installation activities on site.
- Supervising and coordinating a team of mechanical fitters and other operatives.
- Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant regulations.
- Monitoring progress, managing schedules, and proactively addressing any issues.
- Liaising effectively with site management, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Managing materials, plant, and resources efficiently.
What you'll bring to the table:
- Extensive experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of various mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, pipework, plumbing, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations within a construction environment.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS).
- A proactive and hands-on approach to project delivery.
