PSR Solutions are working with a major UK residential developer to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a long-term opportunity within their regional commercial team.

This role is ideal for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor seeking career progression with a large, well-established housebuilding business that offers strong financial stability, structured development, and exposure to multiple residential schemes.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial and financial management of several residential developments within a regional portfolio. Working from a regional office, you will ensure effective cost control, accurate reporting, and financial visibility to support senior leadership decision-making.



Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial responsibility for multiple residential sites at varying stages of development

  • Preparing and managing site budgets and producing regular financial reports and valuations

  • Appointing and managing subcontractors, including payment administration

  • Maintaining cost control and resolving financial queries to support uninterrupted site progress

  • Producing regular site valuations and reporting variances against budget

  • Negotiating subcontractor packages to achieve best commercial outcomes

  • Setting up new sites within internal commercial systems and forecasting profitability

  • Liaising with operational, sales, customer care, and finance teams

  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

  • Supporting senior commercial staff with workload management and decision-making

  • Mentoring junior team members where appropriate

  • Attending internal regional meetings as a commercial representative



About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • A construction-related qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent)

  • Experience within the UK residential housebuilding sector

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word

  • A full UK driving licence

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with excellent organisation and time management skills
