P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently looking for an Electrical Manager on a full-time, permanent basis located in Norwich.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the electrical team, including engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure the safe and efficient installation, testing, and commissioning of Solar PV and battery storage systems.
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
- Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, and regulatory bodies for grid connections and compliance.
- Lead the electrical design process for commercial Solar PV and battery storage projects.
- Ensure designs comply with BS 7671 (Wiring Regulations), G99, and IEC standards.
- Provide technical oversight of electrical drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
- Conduct load assessments, cable sizing, protection design, and grid connection applications.
- Review power system studies, including earthing, fault level analysis, and harmonics.
- Oversee the electrical O&M (Operations & Maintenance) of installed assets.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring systems are operating at peak performance.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in Electrical Management
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, system integration, and compliance with UK regulations.
- Familiarity with grid connection processes (G99/G100) and DNO liaison.
- Familiarity with electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Experience with AutoCAD, PV*Sol, Amtech, or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of H&S standards, including CDM regulations and risk assessments.
- Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Hours: Full-time 40 hours a week
