Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Stores Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations in Norwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising a team, and ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and manage stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Receiving and Dispatching: Supervise the receipt of incoming materials and the dispatch of finished products, ensuring timely and safe handling.
  • Warehouse Organization: Ensure the warehouse is organised, clean, and accessible, with materials stored in an orderly manner.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of warehouse workers, providing training and ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
  • Coordination: Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and timely availability of materials.
  • Quality Control: Inspect materials and products for quality, reporting any discrepancies or issues.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, warehouse activities, and any issues that arise.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Stores Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
