£11.50 - £17.00 per hour

We are recruiting for dedicated and committed Support Workers to work flexibly for us at ARC Healthcare on a temp (but ever on-going basis) with our existing and growing clients based in Norwich and surrounding areas.

This allows flexibility and choice of availability for you…work when you want to work and have that well deserved rest when you need it!

We supply our clients with long and short term bookings working within supported living, residential care, children’s homes and day centres.

THE ROLE

  • To follow instructions and care plans at individual settings
  • Treat the young people with respect at all times
  • Support individuals with their personal hygiene and appearance
  • Maintain a safe environment for staff and the young people
  • Encourage the independence and motivation of the young people
  • Support the young people to make informed choices
  • Feedback any necessary information to the person in charge
  • Complete all necessary paperwork
  • Taking the young people into the community and on day trips when needed
  • Providing companionship to service users, communicating effectively with them
  • Protecting the confidentiality of all young people and clients
  • To recognise signs of abuse and immediately report through the necessary channels

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

  • Ideally (but not essential), experience in support work either in a personal or professional capacity
  • Must be reliable
  • Must be resilient and also compassionate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Transport Desirable but not essential
  • Online DBS Desirable but not essential – we can process a new one for you!
  • Please note that this is a role where you will be responsible for the care of vulnerable adults. You will likely be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to undertake this role. We will ask for evidence of your vaccination record if you are offered a role. *subject to evolving government guidelines.
