We're looking for an experienced ICT Infrastructure Manager to lead our team of skilled infrastructure engineers, in a role where you will oversee the implementation of new technologies and maintain the Councils' infrastructure solutions. You will be responsible for related routine maintenance, disaster recovery, business continuity and compliance.

The role will involve leading on the delivery, maintenance and evolution of all Council infrastructure solutions, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems including servers, networking, databases, remote access, switches, routers and firewalls, as well as working with 3rd parties for any managed service arrangements.

You will oversee disaster recovery, business continuity and infrastructure compliance, investigate and manage the adoption of tools (including automation) for the management of systems and services, lead the collaboration of cross-function teams and 3rd parties to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and manage key third party IT supplier relationships.

In this role you will contribute to the ongoing development of the IT and Digital Strategy, and drive continuous improvement by identifying, designing and delivering opportunities to ensure our services adequately support changing needs.

About You

You will have extensive IT Infrastructure and Leadership experience, together with a broad range of IT and systems architecture, implementation and operations experience with a proven ability to design and manage disaster recovery and business continuity solutions. You will be a confident communicator both internally and externally, with the ability to adapt to your audience accordingly.
