We’re working with a dynamic group of companies in Nottingham who are looking for a standalone Company Accountant to join their team and manage the full finance function across two related but independent businesses.This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to take full control of accounting operations, reporting directly to the company director, and play a key role in transitioning finance processes from an external provider to an in-house function. You’ll oversee everything from monthly management accounts to cash flow, forecasting, and compliance, all while having the autonomy to shape the financial direction of the business.What’s in it for you:

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Manage bookkeeping, cash flow, forecasting, and cost allocation
• Ensure compliance with HMRC and financial regulations
• Collaborate with external accountants during the transition phase
• Provide insightful financial reports to the company director

What we’re looking for:

• Strong knowledge of Xero (preferred) or other accounting software
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-sufficient in managing the finance function
