Role responsibilities

  • Managing a personal or mixed tax portfolio, handling all compliance aspects and ensuring timely submissions
  • Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships and companies
  • Assisting with advisory projects including tax planning, restructuring, capital gains and inheritance tax
  • Liaising directly with clients and HMRC to handle queries and provide guidance
  • Supporting more senior team members with complex technical work and research
  • Reviewing the work of junior staff and helping with their development
  • Keeping up to date with tax legislation and industry developments

Candidate requirements

  • ATT qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified with a focus on tax, or CTA part-qualified/qualified
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a tax-focused role within practice
  • Confident managing client relationships and handling queries independently
  • Strong technical knowledge in either personal or corporate tax, or both
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with an interest in developing others
