Role responsibilities
- Managing a personal tax portfolio including self-employed individuals, landlords, company directors and high-net-worth clients
- Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant deadlines
- Assisting with advisory projects including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and residence/domicile planning
- Liaising with clients and HMRC to resolve queries and manage correspondence
- Supporting senior team members with technical assignments and tax planning strategies
- Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and supporting their development
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and sharing knowledge with the wider team

Candidate requirements
- ATT qualified or part-qualified CTA with a minimum of two years' experience in personal tax
- Strong understanding of UK personal tax legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and confidence in handling complex returns
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, client-focused approach
- Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and within a team
