The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading consumer brand for a Senior Digital Trading Manager. This role is responsible for driving the digital trading strategy to maximise online revenue, enhance customer experience, and deliver commercially successful campaigns. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure trading activity is planned, executed, and optimised in line with business objectives.

Job Title: Senior Digital Trading Manager

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £55,000-£60,000 (DOE) + bonus

Contract: Full-time, permanent, hybrid in office 3 days per week

Start date: ASAP - November 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a multi-channel digital trading strategy to achieve revenue and contribution targets.

  • Monitor and analyse trading performance, producing timely reports and implementing action plans.

  • Plan and execute promotional activity and on-site activations in line with commercial priorities.

  • Coordinate the trading calendar to align product launches with stock availability and maximise full-price sales.

  • Lead and develop the trading team, ensuring effective product uploads, content planning, and data-led merchandising.

  • Partner with insights teams to refine reporting tools and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Ensure localised site experiences in collaboration with regional market managers.

  • Manage on-site search, merchandising, and product recommendations, optimising third-party provider performance.

  • Oversee the implementation of new website features and functionality to support trading goals.

  • Use analytics to identify customer journey improvements that drive engagement, conversion, and revenue growth.

Candidate Criteria
  • Proven experience in a senior eCommerce or digital trading role, ideally within a multi-channel retail environment.

  • Track record of delivering significant online revenue growth and commercial success.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with experience managing multiple priorities.

  • Effective people leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.

  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Experience managing third-party digital providers or agencies.

  • Knowledge of digital merchandising, search optimisation, and conversion strategies.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

  • Passion for delivering outstanding digital customer experiences.
