Bookkeeper - Exclusive Opportunity (4-Day Week or Part-Time)Location: Nottingham - Hybrid Working

Eaton Syalon are partnering exclusively with a successful Nottingham-based business to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper. This is a unique opportunity offering true flexibility—with options for a 4-day working week or part-time hours.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the preparation of accounts and tax returns for a wide range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records for a variety of clients

  • Record and categorise day-to-day transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments

  • Manage client general ledgers and ensure compliance with accounting regulations

  • Reconcile bank accounts, cash flow activity, and balance sheets to supporting documentation

  • Prepare and submit financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports) for review by senior accountants

  • Process invoices, manage accounts payable, and ensure timely payments

  • Monitor accounts receivable, track outstanding balances, and follow up with clients

  • Resolve discrepancies in financial data and assist with client queries

What We're Looking For
  • AAT qualified (or working towards it) with at least 2 years’ experience would be advantageous but not essential.

  • Accountancy practice experience is highly desirable.

  • Detail-oriented and confident managing multiple client accounts.

  • Experience with QuickBooks or Xero is an advantage.
