MoveATech have partnered with an award-winning client, a leading construction and civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. Renowned for delivering high-quality residential, commercial, educational, and infrastructure projects across the East Midlands, this is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant, forward-thinking organisation with a strong commitment to excellence.

You will take responsibility for key construction engineering aspects of site projects, initially focusing on exciting new housing and commercial developments in the region. Working closely with the Site Manager, site teams, and the wider business, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful and safe delivery of projects in a supportive and rewarding environment.

About the Role

As Site Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Construction Drawings: Reading, interpreting, and clearly communicating drawings on site, including layouts and material measurements.

  • Setting Out & Surveying: Ensuring accuracy by providing precise lines, levels, and reference points.

  • Programme Management: Working to the site programme, influencing progress, and ensuring deadlines are achieved.

  • Site Co-ordination: Managing subcontractors, materials, and sequencing of works to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate site records, ITPs, as-built drawings, and environmental compliance documentation.

  • Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ): Ensuring all SHEQ requirements are adhered to throughout your project phase.

  • Building Talent & Relationships: Supporting and developing team members while building strong relationships with subcontractors.

  • Continued Professional Development: Keeping up to date with industry best practice and sharing knowledge with the wider team.

  • Policies & Procedures: Adhering to the Integrated Management System (IMS) and company policies.

  • Other Duties: Undertaking any other tasks commensurate with the role.

Your Knowledge, Experience & Skills

Knowledge:

  • Third-level qualification in Construction Engineering & Management or a related discipline

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer on residential projects (commercial experience desirable)

Skills:

  • Strong numeracy and IT skills (MS Office packages)

  • Full, valid driving licence and relevant site cards

Abilities:

  • Deadline-driven with the ability to motivate teams to meet key targets

  • Proactive, able to use initiative, and take full ownership of projects from start to finish
