Fire Engineer - Midlands Based (Partially Remote)

Our client is a highly respected international consultancy with over 25 years of experience and a strong worldwide presence. Due to continued success and growth, they are seeking a talented Fire Engineer to join their team, focusing on fire safety upgrades and remedial works within commercial refurbishment projects across the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on varied and impactful projects, ensuring the highest standards of fire safety for retail clients. While this role offers a partially remote working arrangement, ideal candidates will be based in the Midlands to minimise travel distances to sites nationwide.

The Role:

  • Conducting fire safety assessments and surveys on commercial refurbishment projects
  • Developing and implementing fire safety strategies and solutions.
  • Designing and reviewing fire protection systems.
  • Providing expert advice on fire safety regulations and compliance.
  • Managing and overseeing fire safety upgrades and remedial works.
  • Collaborating with project teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards of fire safety and within agreed timescales.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Fire Engineer, ideally with exposure to commercial refurbishment projects.
  • A deep understanding of fire safety principles, regulations, and relevant British Standards.
  • Relevant fire qualifications (e.g., FDIS, IFE membership, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing fire safety solutions.
  • Ability to travel nationally to various project sites as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong client relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
