We are seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our clients Compliance Services team within their Property Directorate. This vital role focuses on conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments, audits, inspections, and surveys across our housing stock to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and minimise risk.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct fire risk assessments on Type 1, 2, and 3 buildings within the property portfolio.
- Ensure 100% compliance with Fire Risk Assessments as per organisational standards.
- Work collaboratively with a team of Fire Risk Assessors, utilising in-depth knowledge of the FRA process to holistically view and accurately communicate fire risks.
- Identify and communicate the need for suitable and accurate remedial works in assessments, ensuring alignment with recommended timeframes in the FRA Process documents.
- Provide technical fire safety advice to colleagues across the organisation and serve as a point of contact for external organisations regarding fire safety.
- Strong technical background with a clear understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant fire safety legislation and guidance documents.
- Experience in housing is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey fire risk and good fire safety practice effectively.
- Must hold Tier 2 accreditation via IFSM or be willing to obtain it prior to employment.
- Possess a valid nationally recognised fire safety qualification such as NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE), or similar.
- A recognised minimum grade 3 qualification within fire risk assessment such as the FPA, IFE, or similar, or registered by a competent body for FRA.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the fire safety industry, preferably with experience in carrying out FRAs in social housing.
