This role is responsible for delivering 100% compliance with Fire Risk Assessments across a diverse property portfolio, identifying and communicating fire risks accurately and in line with internal processes. You'll also provide technical fire safety advice to colleagues and external partners, with occasional out-of-hours work in emergency situations.

Description

  • Conduct Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) using PAS 79 methodology across a range of properties.

  • Identify, record, and communicate fire risks and required remedial actions clearly and accurately.

  • Implement immediate mitigations for intolerable risks during assessments.

  • Review completed remedial works and assess contractor performance.

  • Submit accurate reports in line with agreed timeframes and FRA procedures.

  • Provide expert fire safety advice to internal teams and help promote a strong fire safety culture.

  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as the Fire Brigade and represent the organisation on fire safety matters.

  • Engage with residents to provide fire safety guidance and resolve complex queries.

  • Approve colleague-conducted FRAs for quality and suitability.

  • Support fire incident investigations and initial SHE inspections when required.

  • Contribute to FRA programme delivery across the organisation.

  • Assist in developing and delivering fire safety training and respond to technical queries.

  • Travel between sites and offices as required.

  • Maintain responsiveness to communication (phones, voicemails, and emails) within set SLAs.

Profile

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in fire safety, including conducting FRAs across various property types.

  • Strong knowledge of PAS 79 methodology and fire safety legislation (e.g. Regulatory Reform Order 2005).

  • Tier 2 IFSM accreditation and a recognised fire safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IFE).

  • Member of a professional fire safety body (e.g. IFE, MIFSM).

  • Able to audit fire safety measures, assess remedial works, and manage high-risk situations.

  • Excellent communication skills and confident liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Full UK driving licence required.
