Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Worker
Location: Kirkby-in-Ashfield
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: £12.85 per hour
We are currently seeking a temporaryGrounds Maintenance Worker to work for a Local Authority. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in outdoor work and is passionate about keeping public spaces clean, safe, and well-maintained for the community.
Key Responsibilities:Carry out general grounds maintenance in parks, open spaces, and landscaped areas
Undertake planting, pruning, weeding, and seasonal gardening duties
Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of sports facilities and children's play areas
Operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment and tools
Drive Local Authority vehicles and transport equipment as required
Report any damage, safety issues, or maintenance needs to supervisors
Previous experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture preferred
Must hold relevant licences (e.g., driving licence, equipment operation certification)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A strong work ethic and attention to detail
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather condition
