Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation:Operate press brake machines to bend, shape, or cut sheet metal.
- Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to understand product specifications.
- Machine Setup:Select and install the correct tooling (punches and dies) for the bending or cutting process and set the required tonnage (pressure).
- Programming:Program computer numerical control (CNC) press brakes to execute complex bends and shapes.
- Quality Control:Inspect finished metal parts to ensure they meet quality standards and precision requirements.
- Maintenance:Perform routine checks and maintenance on the press brake machinery.
- Safety:Operate machinery safely in a potentially noisy industrial environment, often wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
