We're looking for a dedicated Home Link Advisor to join a Housing Solutions team within a Local Authority in Nottingham on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This vital role supports applicants through the process of completing their HomeLink housing applications and ensures a smooth, fair, and transparent approach to assessing housing needs.


About the Role
As a Home Link Advisor, you'll work directly with individuals - both face-to-face and over the phone - to support them in completing housing applications. You'll verify applicant eligibility, assess housing needs, and ensure accurate banding in line with the allocations policy. You'll also provide clear, compassionate advice on a range of housing options and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues and external partners.
You'll play a key part in delivering an effective and efficient administrative service, ensuring every applicant receives a high-quality, person-centred experience.

What We're Looking For:
路Experience working within a housing environment or similar setting
路Knowledge of social housing eligibility and allocations processes
路Strong customer service skills, with the ability to remain tactful, sensitive, and fair
路Ability to work well under pressure and make informed decisions
路NVQ Level 2/3 in Housing Management (or willingness to work towards a qualification)
路Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
路Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload effectively
路Knowledge of homelessness legislation is desirable
