We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting optimal oral health. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by evaluating patients' medical histories and performing necessary assessments.
- Utilise CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology for treatment planning when applicable.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments performed.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technology, including medical imaging techniques.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Experience
- A recognised qualification in Dental Hygiene is essential.
- Previous experience in a dental practice is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CAD systems and medical imaging will be considered a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
