Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:

Working within the controls department team, liaising with software & hardware engineers
Create schematic drawings for control cabinets & field installations using EPlan Pro Panel (EPlan Electric P8 with 3D panel layouts)
Preparing for manufacture and working with external suppliers
Solving engineering problems, finding root cause, analysis and solutions
Approving and signing off drawings
Supervise Electrical Technicians and control the build of machines
Deal with all site queries and issues surrounding the design
Working on projects, without assistance, to the value of £80k to £30M

EPlan Design Engineer – The Person:

Dedicated electrical engineer with proven experience within a similar role
Proven EPlan skills IDEAL - training can be provided for the right person
AutoCAD skills not essential but would be an advantage
A working knowledge of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations [UK] & Machinery Directive [EU]
Solid knowledge of automation architectures & network layers
Extensive knowledge of ProfiNET/EtherNET/IP networks
In-depth knowledge of inverters and control wiring
Experience of safety system architectures to be produced in SISTEMA

Located in the East Midlands, this role would be commutable from within & around Nottingham, Derby, Leicester & Grantham. Hybrid working is available with this role
