Location: Remote/home based role with occasional UK site travel.

We are looking for an experienced HV Electrical Engineer to join one of the UK leaders in flexible power generation. You will be responsible for the Control of Operation and Maintenance Activities for all electrical plant and apparatus across the UK.

Key Responsibilities as a HV Electrical Engineer?
  • Ensure the operation and maintenance of all HV electrical systems up to 33kV (and above).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors.
  • Assist with the integration of new sites from construction into live operation.
  • Provide technical support for customer-facing maintenance contracts.
  • Implement strategies to enhance electrical reliability and performance.

Desired Skills & Experience as a HV Electrical Engineer?
  • Strong knowledge of HV systems.
  • Background in the design, operation and maintenance of generation or electrical plant.
  • Experience with battery storage systems or solar generation.
  • Familiarity with reciprocating gas engines (e.g. MWM, Jenbacher, Siemens, MTU, Cummins).
  • Familiar with CMMS systems.
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical drawings and technical documentation.
