Finance Director - £80,000 – £100,000 – Nottinghamshire (hybrid/flexi hours) - PermanentI am recruiting for a driven and commercially minded Finance Director to join a vibrant, fast-paced organisation at a key stage in its development. Offering Hybrid and flexible hours, this opportunity allows managing a fulfilling work life and home obligations.This is a highly visible leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of a collaborative senior team. You will take full ownership of the finance function, playing a critical part in shaping financial strategy, improving performance and ensuring robust governance across a group of diverse operations.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of annual and multi-year financial plans, budgets and forecasting in partnership with the CEO and Board.
  • Provide insightful, timely and accurate financial reports that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver the organisation’s annual business plan and support wider corporate objectives.
  • Motivate and manage the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and providing expert guidance to department heads on budget control, pricing, KPIs and cost optimisation.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, including oversight of external audit, VAT, income tax and corporate tax.
  • Manage key relationships with external stakeholders such as funders, public bodies and commercial partners.
  • Oversee the organisation’s capital programme and long-term investment planning.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with strong experience operating at or near Finance Director level.
  • Confident leading financial strategy in a hands-on, high-energy, commercial setting with varied revenue streams.
  • Experience managing teams and building strong working relationships across departments.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with operational detail, and bring commercial insight to everyday decision-making.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of engaging effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at board level.
  • Strong systems skills, particularly in finance and data analysis tools. Comfortable working under pressure to agreed deadlines.
