Head of Finance - 6 Month FTC - Nottingham - to £80k plus benefitsOur client, an established and growing retail business, is seeking a talented Head of Finance to take ownership of financial leadership across its product and sales operations. This is a high-impact role with responsibility for shaping financial strategy, improving performance, and supporting commercial growth initiatives across the business.The successful candidate will join a collaborative senior team and lead a dedicated finance function within a fast-moving, customer-focused environment.The RoleAs Head of Finance, you will:
  • Lead the financial planning cycle, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking
  • Deliver clear financial insights to inform commercial and strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders on pricing, investment, and growth plans
  • Manage and develop a small team of finance professionals
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators and reporting tools
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting and financial processes
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new business initiatives
About YouWe’re looking for someone who brings:
  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience
  • Strong experience in finance, ideally within a retail or product-led business. Multi site experience will be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate it clearly
  • A proactive, strategic mindset and confidence working across departments
  • Experience managing and mentoring a finance team
  • Advanced Excel skills
