We are now seeking a Tax Compliance Manager to join our UK-based Finance team. This is a standout opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with complex operations and significant international presence.

About the Role

As Tax Compliance Manager, you'll take charge of UK corporate tax compliance and reporting obligations across multiple entities. This hands-on role involves working closely with finance colleagues, external advisers, and auditors to ensure our tax filings are accurate, timely, and fully aligned with current legislation. You will also support planning, forecasting, and risk management initiatives as part of our strategic tax approach. You'll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values initiative, clear thinking, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporation Tax Compliance
  • Manage preparation and review of UK corporation tax computations and returns
  • Oversee submission processes using Alphatax and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Handle matters such as capital allowances, group relief, CIR, and CFC reporting
  • Monitor and process quarterly payments to HMRC
  • Tax Reporting & Disclosures
  • Prepare tax disclosures for financial reporting, including year-end and interim accounts
  • Support audit queries and ensure accuracy in all external reporting
  • Collaborate with international teams to consolidate the global tax position
  • Planning & Forecasting
  • Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities and managing tax risks
  • Maintain quarterly forecasts of corporation tax liabilities
  • Maximise the use of available tax attributes within the group
  • Governance & Documentation
  • Contribute to Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) compliance and internal tax controls
  • Help deliver robust documentation and process improvements
  • Drive automation and efficiency using technology and analytics tools
  • Advisory & Collaboration
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand the tax impact of business changes
  • Support implementation of Pillar 2 and Country-by-Country Reporting obligations
  • Maintain proactive communicationwithHMRC on relevant mattersWhat We're Looking For
    • CTA-qualified (or equivalent), with at least five years' post-qualification experience
    • Strong understanding of UK corporation tax compliance and tax accounting under IFRS/FRS 102
    • Confident in managing complex tax computations across a large group structure
    • Skilled in Alphatax and Excel; experience with tools like Alteryx is advantageous
    • A natural collaborator with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
    • Commercially aware, detail-focused, and eager to drive best practice
