A global supplier of engineered products and services to the aerospace, defence and high technology sectors has a new vacancy for a Trade Compliance Coordinator to join the team. You will be responsible for processing import and export shipments, ensuring compliance procedures are in place, managing export licenses and improving processes.

The Role

Process export shipments in compliance with regulations and UK Strategic Export Controls.

Determine export classification and identify license requirements.

Collaborate with other business areas to ensure appropriate export authorisations are in place and that all required documentation is obtained to support export license applications.

Work with the group senior trade compliance staff to prepare and submit export license applications.

Maintain accurate records for export transactions in accordance with ITAR, EAR, and other regulatory requirements.

Ensure consistent adherence to export procedures across the organization.

Review and evaluate shipping documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Coordinate with internal departments, including logistics, legal, and shipping, to ensure smooth and compliant trade operations.

Support the preparation of reports and audits related to trade compliance activities.

The Person

A good understanding of import and export processes and procedures.

Knowledge of UK Customs Declaration Service (CDS).

Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential compliance issues.

Experience managing export licenses and reviewing export documentation.

Knowledge of EAR, and other export/import regulations and UK Strategic Export Control List.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience e of U.S. Customs regulations and ITAR preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
