Class 1 Driver

CLASS 1 DRIVER

Shift: MONDAY - FRIDAY DAYS: VARIOUS START TIMES

Pay Rate: £16.66 - £24.99 PER HOUR

People Solutions are looking for a Class 1 Driver for our client based in NOTTINGHAM. This is a fantastic opportunity to joining a great company and have room to grow and progress.

• 33 days holiday once permanent (dictated by factory shutdowns)

Day to Day Duties:

• Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to make 3 - 5 trunk runs a day
• Curtain sider work
• Make on time deliveries
• Communicate with the transport team
• Follow Company policies and procedures
• Comply with driving rules and regulations
• Strapping loads correctly (awkward loads)

Essential Skills:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
• Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
• Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
• Maximum of six penalty points for minor infringements with no major endorsement codes
• Work in a professional manner
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in strapping abnormal loads would be beneficial as well as navigating tight delivery depots

Training

• You will be required to pass a driving assessment before attending a three-day company programme
