Luggage Porter - Temporary Position - 19th, 20th & 21st September

We are seeking temporary Porters to support our client over a three-day period at sites across central Nottingham. Our client is a leading national property management company specialising in high-quality, purpose-built student accommodation located near the Hockley and Lenton areas of the city.

In this role, you will be part of the Student Experience Team during the busy check-in period, welcoming new residents as they arrive for the start of the autumn term and ensuring their move-in runs smoothly.



Shifts are allocated in 8 hour slots throughout the day, starting from 08:00 until 20:00 over the 3 days.



What you'll be doing:

  • Greet residents and visitors in a polite, professional, and welcoming manner.

  • Assist with the safe loading, unloading, and transportation of luggage to and from rooms.

  • Provide information about the building layout and facilities when assisting residents.

  • Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe working environment in luggage storage areas.

  • Work collaboratively with the accommodation team to ensure smooth check-in/check-out operations.

  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Accommodation Manager promptly.

  • Uphold health and safety standards, ensuring manual handling is carried out safely.

  • Support other operational tasks during quieter periods, as directed.

  • Managing traffic arriving and leaving the property at busy times.



What we're looking for:

  • A good team player , you will be working in a large team covering different areas to collaborative attitude and coordination skills are essential

  • Due to the practical demands of this role, you must consider yourself physically fit, you will be lifting/carrying items throughout the building and will be on your feet for 8 hours.

  • Friendly and professional demeanor, you will have direct contact with residents so some form of customer service experience is required.



  • Fluent in English both verbal and written as you will need to answer resident queries as well as directing them to the right place.



  • MUST be able to commit to the Friday and Saturday shifts as a minimum as these will be the busiest days.
