We are seeking candidates interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. This position is responsible for the quality of incoming material to site and ensure it is compliant with required specifications, before sorting and preparing for sale. You will ensure operations are conducted safely at all times and within the guidelines of Unimetals policies and procedures. Working in Nottingham, you will work under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Site Manager. Hours will be 17:00 – 02:00  Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure material meets required specifications
  • Maintain quality standards and segregation
  • Ensure any material that is not in line with specifications is reported to Manager
  • Ensure material is weighed correctly
  • Ensure accurate documentation and paperwork is completed for all transactions
  • Responsible for the security of material on site
  • Ensure high standards of Health and Safety are maintained at all times
  • To raise and act upon any non-conformances arising within the scope of responsibilities of the position
  • To ensure colleagues and visitors to the site comply with SHECS standards
  • To be responsible for Health and Safety
  • To contribute towards the efficient running of the operation
  • To ensure their working area is kept in a clean and state at all times
  • Demonstrate personal responsibility for all Safety, Health, Environment, Community, and Sustainability (SHECS) policies, procedures, and initiatives

Qualifications

  • Previous Supervisory experience would be an advantage.
