We’re seeking a driven and innovative Senior NPD Technologist to join a forward-thinking company that’s committed to shaping the future of nutrition. You’ll take the lead on exciting new product initiatives, bringing concepts to life and ensuring successful market launches that stand out in the industry.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • A strong passion for food innovation and a genuine interest in nutrition
  • At least 2/3 years of experience in food manufacturing or product development
  • In-depth knowledge of food science, nutrition, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience of working with external manufacturers
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools (Excel and Sheets in particular)
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience leading NPD projects from ideation to successful market launch
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Conducting in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, consumer demands, and competitor activity, shaping product development strategies
  • Collaborating across departments, including marketing, procurement, production, and compliance, to ensure smooth product development and timely launches
  • Designing and refining product formulations, balancing functionality, cost-effectiveness, and nutritional guidelines
  • Managing product testing processes, such as sensory evaluations, shelf-life assessments, and regulatory compliance checks
  • Ensuring that all product specifications adhere to industry regulations and internal quality standards
  • Leading product trials, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to optimise production outcomes
  • Keeping up to date with advancements in the industry, researching innovative ingredients and new technologies
  • Identifying and resolving technical challenges throughout the development cycle to ensure seamless project execution

Salary & Working Hours

Salary is upto £45,000 per annum

Working hours Monday to Friday
