QTS Biology Teacher for a secondary school in NG16

Qualifications: QTS Biology/Science teacher or equivalent qualification with experience working in secondary school and strong behaviour management

What we expect from you:
1. Science Instruction:
* Deliver dynamic and engaging science lessons to secondary school students.
* Encourage students to explore and understand scientific concepts, fostering
curiosity and critical thinking.

2. Curriculum Development:
* Develop comprehensive lesson plans, assessments, and teaching materials in line with the curriculum.
* Tailor instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

3. Student Engagement:
* Create an enriching and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students are motivated to participate actively in their scientific journey.
* Support students in developing strong scientific skills and knowledge.

4. Assessment and Progress Tracking:
* Regularly assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
* Collaborate with colleagues to analyse data and implement strategies for improvement.

5. Professional Collaboration:
* Work closely with the Science Department to enhance the overall quality of science education.
* Share best practices and innovative teaching techniques with colleagues.

Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. The school will consider ECT, PGCE and FE instructors for this position
* A degree in a relevant science field.
* Proven experience as a Biology Teacher in a secondary school setting.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science.
* Exceptional communication skills and classroom management abilities.
* Dedication to nurturing students' academic growth and scientific curiosity.
