Location: Long Eaton, Derbyshire (NG10)
Salary: 27,576 - 30,045 per annum
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Start Date: Asap
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the Role

We are currently supporting a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Long Eaton that is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school is known for its strong sense of community, supportive staff and positive, pupil-centred approach.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people achieve their best. You'll provide essential support to students with additional needs, both on a 1-1 and small group basis across a range of subjects.

This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, with a quick and clear pathway to a permanent role for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting students with additional or SEN needs to access their learning
Providing focused 1:1 and small-group support across various subjects
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and adapting tasks where required
Encouraging students to stay engaged, motivated and confident
Using positive behaviour strategies to promote progress and independence
Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

What We're Looking For

Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school
Experience working with children or young people with SEN
A patient, adaptable and encouraging approach to support learning
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply with our support)
