Salary: 27,576 - 30,045 per annum
Contract: Long-term to permanent
Start Date: January 2026
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (term time only)


About the Role
We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Long Eaton area that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school has a strong sense of community, a supportive staff team and clear expectations for behaviour and learning.


This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is confident leading 1:1 and small-group intervention sessions to support students who need extra help to make progress.
Alongside interventions, you will also provide in-class support across a range of subjects, helping students build confidence, stay engaged and access learning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
  • Support students with special educational needs to access learning in lessons
  • Work closely with teaching staff to plan and deliver structured support sessions
  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and confidence
  • Help students develop independence and resilience

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting
  • Confidence in leading 1-1 and small group interventions
  • A calm, patient and encouraging approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
