About the Role
Long Term Futures is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the NG11 area. This role is ideal for someone who is confident supporting a child with medical needs, including epilepsy, while also contributing to general classroom support across the school day.


You do not need previous epilepsy training to apply, as the school will provide the necessary support and training.
You will play a key role in helping the student feel safe, settled and able to access learning, working closely with school staff to follow care plans and ensure the right support is in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with medical needs, including epilepsy
  • Remain calm and confident when responding to medical needs
  • Assist with general classroom support for students
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff to support consistency and progress

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or support setting
  • Confidence supporting pupils with medical needs (training can be provided)
  • Calm, responsible and attentive approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
