Role: IT Support technician - 1st and 2nd line

Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 DOE.

Hours: 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday

Location: Beeston Nottingham. 4 days per week in the office. 1 day WFH.

What are we looking for? 

An experienced and highly proactive IT Support Technician to join an organisation who have over seven decades of experience serving the UK Church, our company has a rich heritage of providing Christian churches with financial solutions to support their ministry and mission.

You will have to have proven experience in: 

  • O365, 
  • Hybrid MS Server software, 
  • OneDrive 
  • SharePoint environments.

You will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and systems, ensuring the resolution of software and hardware issues. 

This role involves diagnosing problems, implementing solutions, and serving a delighted bank team. 

Typical duties involve: 

  • Respond to and resolve technical support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Provide support via phone, email, remote connection and in-person.
  • Assist users with software, hardware, and peripheral issues.
  • Escalate complex problems to colleagues and higher-level support teams when necessary.
  • Use AD/Entra to manage all aspects of users, groups and infrastructure.
  • Document issues and solutions for future reference.
  • Work closely with other IT team members to improve service and support processes.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to team goals.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and the wider bank team to understand their ITneeds and provide appropriate support.
  • Work with all LAN/WiFi and internet provision related hardware.
  • Learn and support with bespoke in-house Banking software.
  • Liaise with third parties as required to facilitate support.
  • Create reports to present information to the ITS team
  • Assist the wider bank team in the use of Microsoft Office products, providing ad-hoc training asrequired.
  • Take part in Banking sector regulatory requirements (physical (e.g. Disaster Recovery rehearsals)and/or desktop exercises (e.g. User Access Reviews)).Other Areas
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Identify areas of development in the current processes, systems and infrastructure and discuss and/orpropose amendments to your line manager (and subsequently be involved in any resultingimplementation of the changes).
  • Assist and contribute to the IT team to maintain and improve a bank-wide delight in the IT Supportservice.

Benefits 

Holidays: 27 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays), and the opportunity to purchase additional holiday up to a maximum entitlement of 32 days per annum. 

Salary sacrifice pension scheme: 9% of salary on an unmatched basis and up to 4% of total salary on a matched basis.
