Care Solicitor – Cambridge or Peterborough office

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Care Solicitor to join a highly respected and growing law firm, with offices all over England. Job Purpose:

  • Providing expertise to parents, grandparents, other family members, interveners and children directly or through their CAFCASS appointed Children’s Guardian
  • Ensuring the Child Care team provides a quality, first class service
  • Preparing for court such as court bundles and instructing counsel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing your own casework, liaising with clients, providing advice over the phone, by email and other mediums
  • Preparing and drafting documents including witness statements and processing evidence
  • Managing a varied general Child Care caseload
  • Attending conferences and undertaking own advocacy at court
  • Business development and marketing to support the work volumes brought in by the firm

Key Skills & Experience:

  • You will be a Child Care Solicitor with at least 1 + PQE
  • Working knowledge of best practice within Child Care
  • Works ethically and sensitively to support vulnerable individuals through Child Care processes
  • Stays up to date with the latest relevant legislation, policies and changes in the law
  • Ideally have experience of supporting junior colleagues within a small team
