- Handle a mix of contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters
- Advise clients on standard form contracts including JCT, NEC, and FIDIC
- Provide construction support to other teams, such as Commercial Property and Corporate
- Be involved in dispute resolution (TCC proceedings, adjudications, arbitration, mediation)
- Build and manage client relationships and help develop new business opportunities
- Attend networking events and contribute to the firm’s market presence
- Have the freedom to shape your role while being supported by a strong team infrastructure
- Contribute to thought leadership through briefings, articles, and seminars
- Be a qualified Solicitor (or Legal Executive) with experience in construction law
- Have experience with both contentious and non-contentious matters (or a willingness to develop in one area)
- Understand the commercial realities of the construction and engineering sectors
- Be familiar with standard construction contracts and key dispute forums
- Be a confident communicator and relationship-builder
- Be proactive, commercially minded, and able to manage their own time effectively
