The role will suit someone with strong technical skills and a commercial approach, ready to play a key part in the ongoing development of the Employment team.Key responsibilities include:
  • Handling a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Acting for a diverse client base including commercial clients in manufacturing, retail, and tech sectors, as well as some personal employment work
  • Advising on dismissals, TUPE, discrimination, protected conversations, and day-to-day HR support
  • Providing corporate support on employment matters during M&A transactions and restructures
  • Leading and mentoring a small team (initially two direct reports)
  • Playing an active role in business development and strategic planning for the team
