Job Title: Employment Partner / Head of Department

About the Role:
We are working with a prestigious and forward-thinking national law firm seeking to appoint an ambitious and experienced Employment Partner to lead their Employment department in their Nottingham office. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the firm at leadership level, shaping the strategic direction of the department while managing a strong and growing client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Employment team, overseeing day-to-day operations and long-term strategy.
- Maintain and grow a portfolio of high-quality employer and employee clients, including SMEs, large corporates, and public sector organisations.
- Advise on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including TUPE, restructuring, redundancies, discrimination, and tribunal claims
- Act as a key point of contact for major clients and play an active role in business development and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management to influence firm-wide decisions and contribute to broader leadership.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years' PQE in Employment Law.
- Currently operating at Partner, Legal Director or Senior Associate level with proven leadership experience.
- A strong track record of developing client relationships and winning new business.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a clear vision for growth and departmental development.
- Excellent technical skills, commercial acumen, and a collaborative approach to team management.
