- Lead and develop the procurement team, ensuring effective supplier management and contract compliance.
- Drive sourcing strategies that optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business needs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Oversee key procurement projects, reporting on supplier performance and driving continuous improvement.
- Proven track record in a highly regulated, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Confident in purchasing a wide range of commodities—preferably raw materials, chemicals, or specialist tooling—with a focus on volume and compliance.
- Hands-on procurement experience with a strong emphasis on repeat, day-to-day purchasing (approx. 80% operational / 20% strategic).
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop procurement teams and build strong supplier relationships.
- Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage and resolve challenges across operations and engineering teams.
- Solid understanding of ERP systems and planning principles; CIPS and degree qualifications are desirable but not essential if backed by strong practical experience.
