Maintenance Engineer – Night Shift
Location: Nottingham Salary: £54,381 Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (6pm–6am)

A well established food manufacturer is seeking a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their night shift team at their Nottingham site. This role offers a great opportunity for a skilled engineer to contribute to a fast paced and forward thinking production environment.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving factory operations through swift response to breakdowns, scheduled maintenance, and performance optimisation. The position also involves supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out reactive and proactive maintenance across the site

  • Minimise machinery downtime through efficient fault-finding and repair

  • Support planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement projects

  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and engineering KPIs

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance engineering experience

  • Formal electrical qualifications (BTEC Level 3 or equivalent)

  • Background in manufacturing, ideally food, FMCG, or packaging

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
