- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the production line.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across conveyors, chillers, mixers, packaging machinery, weighers, and more.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records.
- Help develop and improve engineering processes, focusing on reducing downtime and improving efficiency.
- Contribute to health & safety, food hygiene, and audit-readiness standards.
- Mentor junior engineers or apprentices where needed.
- Collaborate closely with production, QA, and operations teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a multiskilled engineering role within food, FMCG, or general manufacturing.
- Comfortable with both mechanical and electrical tasks (approx. 60/40 or 50/50 split).
- Experience with PLC systems, sensors, VFDs, and electrical wiring.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities in a high-pressure environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
