Engineering Manager

£65k + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Benefits

We’re not looking for someone to “step up.” We need an experienced Engineering Manager who’s already led teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments and knows how to deliver.

This isn’t a cushy office job. It’s hands-on, sleeves rolled up, on the floor with your team. You’ll lead, fix, challenge, and improve. While leading a team of experienced engineers.

What’s the gig?

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of 10 engineers across days and nights
  • Drive standards, motivate your people, and hold them accountable
  • Deliver engineering support & maintenance in line with KPIs and budgets
  • Manage contractors and own supplier relationships
  • Push continuous improvement, compliance, and safety – nothing less than best practice will do

What you’ll need

  • Solid track record as an Engineering Manager (not a deputy, not an “acting” role – the real deal)
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing/production – laundry is great, but not essential
  • Proven people leadership skills – tough when needed, supportive always
  • Budget management and a history of delivering improvements
  • Technical qualifications (mechanical/electrical/controls) + MEWP/FLT/IPAF, Six
  • Sigma/5S/Kaizen, IOSH/NEBOSH
  • Strong comms, IT literacy, and full eligibility to work in the UK

What’s on the table

£65,000 salary (flat)
5% pension
25 days holiday + bank holidays
Life Assurance, EAP, Long Service Awards
Training & Development opportunities

This is a big role. You’ll set the tone for engineering, lead from the front, and make sure your team is performing at its very best. If you’re a leader who thrives on change, accountability, and making things better – this is the one.
