Vacancy: Freelance Site Manager
Location: Nottingham
Unite People are working alongside a specialist construction contractor to hire a Site Manager, focussing on managing trades and subcontractors on refurbishment of an live education building.
Scope of works includes scaffold erection, window replacement, asbestos removal, re glazing and internal refurbishment of window bays.
The Site Managerwill be responsible for overseeing works are carried out by trades staff and sub-contractors safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. You will ideally have experience of scaffolding sub contractors, asbestos removal, refurbishment, and public sector buildings would be a bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing scaffold erection, safe practices of work
- Management and supervision of aspestos removal contractors
- Management of re-glazing and window replacement.
- Use snagging software to record defects, quality issues and progress.
- Maintain high health & safety standards throughout
- Attend meetings with Site and Project management to discussprogramme and progress.
- Making sure the project is finished to client satisfaction
Required Qualifications & Training
- CSCS Black Card preferable
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Asbestos awareness cert
- Strong package management experience
- Excellent quality control
- Strong People Management experience
- Strong people skills
