Are you an experienced Production Manager with a passion for driving efficiency, motivating teams, and delivering operational excellence?

We’re recruiting for a dynamic and forward-thinking Production Manager to lead the manufacturing operation of a high-volume, low-value, bespoke printed product business based in Newstead Village, Nottinghamshire.

The Role:

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing operations, leading a skilled team in a fast-paced environment. Your focus will be on delivering against key KPIs, optimising throughput, and ensuring that production supports the company’s customer service and growth targets.

You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to implement continuous improvement strategies, apply lean manufacturing principles, and enhance operational performance. You’ll also play a pivotal role in coaching and developing your team, while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and all relevant Health & Safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all production operations in line with KPIs and monthly sales targets (volume and value).

  • Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to minimise backlog and meet service expectations.

  • Report manufacturing progress, risks, and mitigations to stakeholders.

  • Mentor and develop manufacturing staff, fostering a positive and flexible team culture.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, and Theory of Constraints methodologies.

  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, finance, HR, and other departments to align operations with wider business goals.

  • Maintain compliance with ISO standards and HSE legislation.

  • Support budgeting, succession planning, employee development, and recruitment.

Requirements:
  • At least 10 years' experience in a Production Management role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience leading production teams in a high-volume setting.

  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and Health & Safety compliance.
