Technical Manager - Manufacturing Company

Salary - £45,000 - £50,000

We are looking for a motivated Technical Manager to join a market leading company. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager you will be a key member in ensuring Technical Standards with a manufacturing environment. You will be involved in all aspects within their operation. With progressive development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team. The position will appeal to an Technical Manager looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Job Details:

  • Previous experience in a food/drink manufacturing environment
  • Experience interacting with external stakeholders (regulatory agencies, external manufacturers, customers)
  • Passionate about food safety and quality
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve complex testing and process problems
  • Demonstrated ability in leadership, motivation, interpersonal effectiveness, teamwork, and successful completion of work
  • A valid UK driving license is essential due to our location and customer visits
  • Permanent right to work in the UK
  • Monitor regulatory activities and factory compliance with regulatory safety standards; act as a liaison for the business with external regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate, regulatory, and facility food safety and quality requirements.
  • Evaluate standard operating procedures, master schedule, verification, customer food safety and quality requirements, and reporting for the team.
  • Act as an intermediary between customers and the facility to review product performance, conduct quality safety audits, review third-party certifications, and respond to customer questions and complaints.
  • Implement product specification systems and drive continuous improvement in processes and customer focus.
  • Lead plant tours and audits.
  • Participate in and lead projects related to feed safety, regulatory compliance, process improvement, engagement, training, and other areas as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2-3 Years Within a Similar Role/Position
  • Qualifications Within Management or NEBOSH - Desirable
  • Past Experience Within Food Manufacturing
