Are you a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer with experience designing moving parts, machinery or similar, looking to progress your career in a varied and exciting Project Engineer position, for a close-knit company who values your technical development?

In this role you will be designing bespoke machinery from concept to completion of projects involving conveyors, drives, and robotics. You will be coached and trained by senior engineers, then work within assembly and testing to see your designs come to life.

Founded nearly 50 years ago, this company design, manufacturer, supply and install a range automation and robotic machinery across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, military, and nuclear. They pride themselves on their extraordinary reputation of reliable machinery, coupled with excellent retention rates due to internal promotions.

This role would suit a Junior Design Engineer who has worked on moving parts, machinery or equipment, looking for a career within a company they can genuinely settle and progress within.

The Role:

  • Mechanical design of conveyors, robotics, frames and drives for special purpose machinery
  • Using SolidWorks, with training given if needed
  • Handling projects from cradle to grave, involved in assembly and testing
  • Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm, early finish on Fridays, 37.5 hours a week

The Person:

  • Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Experience designing moving parts, machinery, equipment or similar
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor or similar
