Contract Surveyor – East Midlands

Build Recruitment is proud to be partnering with main contractor, a leading name in property services, to recruit a Contract Surveyor for a permanent opportunity in the East Midlands. This is a fantastic role for a commercially savvy surveyor with experience in social housing refurbishment, particularly kitchen and bathroom upgrade programmes.

The Role of Contract Surveyor

You'll take ownership of a variety of refurbishment projects – from pricing and tendering to cost control and final delivery. You'll play a key part in driving value, improving margins, and ensuring subcontractors are well-managed across multiple planned works schemes.

Key Responsibilities for the Contract Surveyor

  • Measuring and pricing planned works projects and evaluating tenders
  • Managing projects end-to-end, identifying opportunities to improve performance
  • Delivering accurate CVR reporting, forecasting, and financial control
  • Subcontractor management – including applications for payment and account administration

What We're Looking For:

? Professional qualification (HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma or equivalent)
? Minimum 2 years' experience in planned works – especially kitchens and bathrooms
? Strong understanding of BOQ, SOR, and commercial cost management
? Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft tools
? A self-starter who can work independently or as part of a wider team
