Are you a Senior Geotechnical Engineer looking for a new role?

An exciting new opportunity has opened in Nottingham, where a talented geotechnical and ground engineering team is looking to expand due to a strong and growing workload. This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of technically challenging projects while playing a key role in mentoring and developing junior staff.

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will take ownership of projects from inception through to delivery, including geotechnical design, while supporting and training junior engineers within the team. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering projects across a variety of sectors.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Desk studies and ground investigation planning
• Phase 1 and Phase 2 report writing (factual and interpretative)
• Geotechnical design, analysis, and recommendations
• Soil sampling and borehole logging
• Geotechnical risk assessments
• Site walkovers
• Liaising with clients and project stakeholders

Essential Criteria:

• Strong interpretative report writing experience
• Experience producing geotechnical designs
• Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or another relevant discipline
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills
• Live within a commutable distance of the Nottingham office
• Full UK driving licence
• Full rights to work in the UK
