Staff Grade Doctor Glaucoma - Part Time (2 days - 20 hrs per week)

Our private eye hospital group client has an exciting new opportunity for a Staff Grade Doctor with experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases to join their amazing and supportive team in their Nottingham Eye Hospital. The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Staff Grade Doctor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our NHS medical glaucoma service, providing both clinical and surgical assistance. This position requires a compassionate professional with a deep understanding of glaucoma management and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, evaluate and manage patients with existing and undiagnosed glaucoma along with other ocular conditions.
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures such as visual field assessments, optical coherence tomography (OCT), volk, CCT and gonioscopy.
- Provide management plans for existing Glaucoma referrals
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding glaucoma management and treatment options.

What You'll Need
- Medical degree from a recognized university
- Valid GMC registration with a license to practice in UK
- Experience in ophthalmology, particularly in managing glaucoma cases and ability to work independently
- UK NHS Glaucoma clinic experience
- Gonioscopy experience
- SLT laser experience
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
