Remuneration: £45,000 - £50,000 + discretionary bonus
Benefits: Full benefits packageThe role of the Production Manager - Bespoke Joinery / Hardwood Flooring will involve:
- Production Manager position that will focus on a high end manufactured range of hard wood flooring such as: parquetry, marquetry, antique and boarded floors
- Manage and oversee the production personnel to achieve maximum production efficiency (team of 10)
- Ensure all work is carried out to required quality standards and within deadlines
- Ensure that all regulations, policies and health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Maintaining timber inventory levels and other required stock
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other departments to ensure effective communication and service delivery
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues or escalate complex problems as needed
- Identify areas of the production line that need improving to increase productivity
- Provide regular feedback to the workforce around performance
The ideal applicant will be Production Manager - Bespoke Joinery / Hardwood Flooring with:
- Must have experience working in a similar production / workshop environment dealing with timber engineering, wooden flooring, bespoke joinery, or furniture
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Sound technical understanding of the machinery used (sanders, laser cutters, cross cut saws etc)
- High levels of attention to detail and organisation
- Ideally will have experience on the tools and worked up to supervisor / manager level
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ideally familiar with Lean or Six Sigma principles
- Proficiency with workshop management software and Microsoft Office tools
